This stuff is fantastic! July 19, 2009 Michele (West Coast) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I write a vegetarian food blog and so I do lots of cooking and baking. I hated using all the heavy cream called for in recipes, so I tried MimicCreme. I love it! It truly tastes just like cream; there is no nasty chemical taste. 32 ounces of MimicCreme has about 650 calories, 32 ounces of heavy cream has about 3200 calories. Plus--NO cholesterol. I've been buying this from another store and so I'm very happy that I can order it from amazon at such a great price.
Excellent dairy-free alternative to cream April 3, 2009 DayTrader 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Unlike every other "faux" dairy product, this one has no funny aftertaste or chemically flavor. It's pure, creamy goodness. I use it to make vegan cream sauces and ice cream (the sweetened one).
I Can Now Have My Cream Soups Again! April 12, 2009 Danny Toma 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I make Great cream soups with this product. Being that its non-dairy and gluten free is the only way I can cook with cream.
Great cream substitute! July 11, 2009 J. Koplan (Emeryville, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I first found [...] and love that I can have a low carb substitute for cream that is also low fat, since I am on the South Beach regime. This can also be successfully frozen, although the texture is a bit odd after that, the taste and overall effect is still good. I have been using this product extensively since last year and have never had any "illness" problems. It has been a diet lifesaver for me - my next project is to use it for a low carb, low fat ice cream!
Awesome, delicious stuff July 17, 2009 Mia Orsini (Novato, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This stuff is amazing. We can make all of our cream sauce recipes which much less fat and cholesterol, and it tastes exactly the same. I couldn't eat dairy for a while, and Mimicreme made it possible to continue enjoying my favorite foods. Now that I can eat dairy again I will continue to use Mimicreme instead of the real thing. Real cream can be greasy, and this stuff isn't.
